Senior Network & Security Architect – Telecommunications - 12-month contract
TECS are looking for a highly experienced Senior Network & Security Architect to lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of cutting-edge telecom infrastructure across Southeast Asia. This strategic role demands deep technical expertise in 4G/5G mobile networks, core IP/MPLS infrastructure, and cybersecurity, with a proven ability to manage large-scale transformations for Tier-1 telcos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-performance network architectures for telecom service providers including 4G/5G Core, IMS, MPLS, and NFVI.
- Lead end-to-end solutioning for major rollouts and upgrades (e.g., 5G labs, IP/MPLS cores, CGNAT, security gateways).
- Act as a senior technical advisor for telecom clients on infrastructure modernization and security compliance.
- Collaborate with pre-sales and delivery teams to support customer engagements, technical presentations, and PoCs.
- Guide network operations support for live mobile network environments, ensuring resilience and regulatory alignment.
- Manage RFP/RFQ technical responses, project scoping, and multi-vendor solution integration.
Core Requirements:
- 15+ years in telecom and enterprise network infrastructure roles, including solution architecture and operations.
- Extensive experience with mobile networks (3G/4G/5G), IP/MPLS, SDN/NFV, and IMS.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco (CCIE R&S #3351), Juniper, Fortinet, Checkpoint, and advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
- Hands-on delivery of projects for major telcos such as Singtel, Maxis, DNB Malaysia, Celcom, and TM.
- Strong background in DDoS mitigation, secure gateway design, CGNAT, CDN, and telecom security architecture.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks for telecom infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE R&S)
- Juniper JNCIS, Ericsson Router Certified Engineer, Citrix NSCA
