Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at St. John's Home for Elderly Persons' in the Central Region. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation and care services to our elderly residents.

• Assess the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of our elderly residents to develop personalised care plans
• Implement occupational therapy interventions to improve residents' independence, functionality, and quality of life
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care for our residents
• Provide training and support to our care staff to ensure consistent delivery of occupational therapy services
• Monitor and evaluate residents' progress, adjusting care plans as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant regulations and standards
• Develop Rehabilitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are compliant with the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA)
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, CGO, or Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with the relevant healthcare regulatory body
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, with a focus on the needs of elderly clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
