Software Engineer (Contract)
We are currently supporting a client on a Software Engineer contract opportunity and are looking to connect with strong mid to senior-level engineering talent.
This role sits within a fast-paced and collaborative technology environment, working on the development, enhancement and delivery of modern software solutions.
We are open to engineers from a range of technical backgrounds including backend, full-stack and platform engineering, particularly those who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and delivering scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain software applications and systems
- Build scalable and reliable solutions using modern engineering practices
- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services
- Collaborate with product, business and technical stakeholders
- Support system improvements, optimisation and troubleshooting
- Contribute to technical design and solution discussions
- Ensure code quality, performance and maintainability
About You
We are keen to hear from engineers with:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on technical capability
- Experience across modern software development environments
- Exposure to technologies such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go or similar
- Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, microservices or distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving capability and collaborative working style
- Ability to work independently and contribute within agile teams
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), DevOps or CI/CD practices will be viewed favourably.
