Bukit Merah - AD Tax (part-time, 3 to 4 days per week) role with established investment firm

Looking for a tax professional with exposure to an in-house tax role gained with financial institutions (e.g. asset management/ investment firms etc)
  • Has tax advisory and tax compliance experience
  • Open to a part-time work arrangement of 3 to 4 days per week (1-day WFH is workable)
Our client is a global PE firm backed by a blue-chip and international asset management firm based in town. We are now seeking to hire an experienced AD Tax professional on a part-time basis (expected to work 3 to 4 days per week) for a one-year assignment.

This one-year assignment may be renewed at the end of the year, based on the individual's performance and business needs.

For this role, the person will be the only tax professional working in the finance team. The role will report to the CFO.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee tax matters of the organisation, including tax planning, compliance, reporting, and maintaining good relationships with external tax authorities.
  • Develop tax strategies to optimize the company’s financial performance while ensuring compliance with the tax laws and regulations.
  • With assistance from external tax service providers, manage the preparation and/or review of the annual tax returns and quarterly GST returns
  • Work on transfer pricing issues
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
  • Looking for a tax professional with a minimum 10 + years of finance experience and some tax planning and tax compliance experience.
  • Has tax experience gained with international blue-chip financial institutions (asset management firms, PE firms, etc)
  • Prior Big 4 tax experience is preferred
  • Has both tax advisory and compliance exposure.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Familiar with tax compliance filings and providing internal tax support and advice to the group and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on (as this role will not manage staff and will work in a newly created function)
  • Has excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Open to a part-time work arrangement (3 to 4 workdays per week) for a 1-year assignment.
