Account Manager (F&B), Singapore
The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing account profitability across an assigned portfolio of food and beverage key customers. The role encompasses the full sales cycle from pipeline development to production and launch, while building strong customer relationships and delivering accurate sales forecasts.Working closely with the Division Manager, the Account Manager will identify new business opportunities and develop long-term sales plans to support the continued growth of the F&B division.
The Position:
- Manage and drive sales growth and account profitability by developing and implementing winning sales strategies tailored to allocated accounts
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, meet sales targets and manage account receivables for the assigned accounts
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs through multi-level engagement across accounts, leveraging creative need hypotheses to validate and grow a quality project pipeline
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customer decision makers to drive long-term partnerships and business growth.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process from customer submission and pipeline conversion through to production and product launch.
- Support day-to-day customer requirements relating to pricing, documentation and supply chain optimization to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction at all times
- Develop and implement long-term customer sales plans for key accounts in collaboration with the Division Manager
- Proactively identify, validate and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand the customer portfolio
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory obligations
- Build and manage and individual project pipeline, personally leading key customer projects to ensure efficient resource management and successful outcomes
- Monitor and gather competitor intelligence, providing timely feedback and market insights to the Division Manager
- Analyze internal and external data encompassing sales performance, cost management, market trends and new business development opportunities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all relevant account information and activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3-4 years of experience in sales or account management within a distributor or flavor house environment
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify opportunities, drive revenue growth and manage account profitability
- Dynamic, self-motivated and results-driven with a Challenger Sales mindset – able to push thinking, reframe customer perspectives and influence key decision makers
- Demonstrated ability to manage full sales cycle from pipeline development through to production and launch
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with experience engaging across multiple levels of a customer organization
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
