Lab Technician (Microbiologist)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lab Technician to join our team, specializing in postbiotic, probiotic, and prebiotic testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in microbiological and biochemical analysis, fermentation processes, and quality control testing related to functional ingredients.
You will be responsible for conducting lab tests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological and biochemical testing on probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics (e.g., microbial enumeration, viability testing, stability studies).
- Conduct fermentation monitoring and assist in optimizing microbial growth conditions.
- Growing and cultivating bacteria.
- Plan production.
- Quality Testing.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Follow GMP, ISO, or other regulatory guidelines for lab procedures.
- Document test results accurately and prepare reports for R&D or QC teams.
- Assist in developing and validating new testing methods for probiotic and postbiotic products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality assurance.
- Ensure lab cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma in Applied Science/Diploma in Medical Biotechnology/ Diploma in Science/ Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of lab experience, preferably in probiotic, prebiotic, or postbiotic testing, fermentation, or functional food/pharma industries.
