Core Function:

This temporary role assumes full corporate communications responsibilities during the maternity leave of the Corporate Communications Executive. The role is critical in advancing SUN-DAC's visibility and mission through integrated communications and fundraising support.

Key responsibilities include managing public relations, social media, events, branding, and digital content to engage audiences and strengthen the organisation's profile. The role also supports fundraising by managing the Donor Management System (DMS) to ensure data accuracy, donor communication, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in implementing media and communications plans to raise SUN-DAC's public profile
  2. Generate and manage content across digital platforms (social media, website, EDMs, newsletters )
  3. Capture and edit photos/videos of programmes, beneficiaries, and events
  4. Oversee and grow SUN-DAC's social media presence and engagement
  5. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging
  6. Draft content for website updates, annual reports, and donor materials
  7. Design and produce marketing collaterals for communications and events
  8. Support fundraising operations by maintaining the Donor Management System (DMS):
  • Ensure accurate donor data entry and campaign tracking
  • Liaise with donors to resolve recurring donation/payment issues
  • Generate donor reports and tax/non-tax receipts

Core Work Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Mass Communications, Media, Marketing, or related fields
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in communications, Public Relations, or content production
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Skilled in digital marketing, social media analytics, and audience engagement
  • Proficient in design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva), video editing (CapCut or similar), and CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress)
  • Familiarity with MailChimp, DMS systems, and fundraising workflows is a plus
  • Creative, proactive, and passionate about social impact and inclusive communications
