Summary
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement to support the school’s strategic objectives, including student enrolment, retention, community building, and brand development.This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across digital platforms, print media, events, and outreach. The role is central to shaping the school’s public voice and enhancing its visibility both locally and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Integrated Marketing and Brand Strategy
- Develop and execute an annual marketing plan to support enrolment, retention, and brand positioning goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; adapt strategies accordingly.
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging and visual identity across all platforms and materials.
- Content Creation and Communication Management
- Lead the development and distribution of communication content for multiple audiences, including prospective families, students, staff, alumni, and external partners.
- Produce, edit, and proofread content for newsletters, brochures, videos, speeches, and social media.
- Align all communications with institutional values, tone, and messaging guidelines.
- Digital Marketing and Social Media
- Manage the school’s website and ensure the content is accurate, SEO-friendly, and regularly updated.
- Lead content creation and scheduling across social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Monitor and report on digital campaign performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach
- Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies targeting prospective families, feeder schools, embassies, and community organisations.
- Support parent, alumni, and community engagement initiatives through events, content, and digital communications.
- Plan and coordinate open houses, fairs, school tours, and external presentations to support enrolment and school visibility.
- Publications and Collateral Development
- Lead the planning and production of key school publications such as newsletters, the annual yearbook, and marketing brochures.
- Coordinate timelines, gather content from stakeholders, and liaise with designers and vendors.
- Ensure high standards in copy, layout, branding, and print/digital delivery.
- Event and Campaign Support
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the promotion and documentation of school-wide events.
- Assist in developing event themes, timelines, and marketing materials.
- Capture photo/video content and ensure timely post-event coverage across platforms.
- Branding, Pubic Relations, and Media Relations
- Act as brand custodian for internal and external messaging.
- Coordinate with agencies and media partners for advertising campaigns or public relations efforts.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, school announcements, and media content.
- Undertake any ad-hoc duties as requested by Management/ Superior.
Requirement:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- 6–9 years of relevant experience, preferably in education, non-profit, or service-oriented sectors.
- Proven experience in campaign planning, digital marketing, stakeholder engagement, and content creation.
- Familiarity with managing websites, social media platforms, analytics tools, and creative software.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent writing and editing skills with strong storytelling ability.
- Proficient in CMS (e.g. WordPress), Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, email marketing tools, and basic photo/video editing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Organized, creative, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
