Associate, Trade Guarantees (No experience required, $3K - $3.5k, Banking Industry) (ID: 678955) - Bukit Merah

Responsible for Guarantee issuance, amendment and promptly fees billing, follow up on expired L/Gs and Payments or extension request.

Responsibilities:

• Process fresh Guarantee issuance and amendment for banks and corporate customers in accordance with the standard operating procedures;
• Timely and promptly process of billing/invoicing for guarantee fees such as subsequent billing on a quarterly basis for existing guarantees, newly issued issuance(s) and amendment(s);
• Timely fees booking process into EXIMBILLS system;
• Timely follow up on outstanding transactions and issues such as sending tracer for expired transactions, payment or extension request and pending instructions;
• Follow up on unpaid bills/outstanding fees;
• Run Monthly Payment Tracer;
• Scan LG documents into DOCUWARE for effected fresh issuance(s) and amendment(s);
• The customer's application forms submitted are correctly filled up, checked and signatures duly verified. Any alterations are stamped and signed by applicant;
• Transaction requires bank's commitment must be approved by the management before processing or customer’s limit is available;
• Payments for outstanding items are credited into our NOSTRO accounts with good value, which are promptly applied and settled;
• Compliance’s clearance are obtained for any OFAC hits;
• EXIMBILLS and Equation balances are reconciled daily;
• Improve the processing of product(s) and to shorten the delivery time to the customers;
• Transactions including information through EXIMBILLS system are correctly input and accounting entries are accurately posted;
• In compliance with all internal policies and procedures as well as the relevant laws and regulations, and the company’s ethical standards at all times;
• All Exim’s Voucher(s), Record Card(s), Accounting entries (Manual) and Outgoing SWIFT messages are duly signed at all times before filing the same into the file(s);
• The outgoing SWIFT messages are acknowledged in SWIFT system;
• ‘Currency Check (33C)’ on Equation via email to Operations-Guarantee.
• Keep the section informed of the outstanding transaction(s) to be kept in Exim and SWIFT systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Banking and Finance and other related fields
• Preferably with 1 year of trade operations/guarantees experience, from Corporate Banking background
• Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Team player, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
