• Manage and process a diverse portfolio of marine insurance claims from first notification through to final settlement.
• Evaluate policy coverage and terms to determine liability for hull, cargo, or maritime liability cases.
• Appoint and coordinate with external surveyors, adjusters, and legal experts to investigate complex casualties.
• Negotiate fair settlements with brokers and policyholders while maintaining high service standards.
• Monitor large loss reserves and provide technical reporting on claim trends and exposure.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to provide insights on risk quality based on claims history.

• Professional experience in marine claims handling within an insurance or loss-adjusting firm.
• Solid technical knowledge of Marine Hull, Cargo, or Protection and Indemnity (P&I) insurance.
• Strong ability to interpret maritime law and international shipping conventions.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to handle sensitive disputes professionally.
• Sharp analytical mind with a focus on detail and accuracy in financial calculations.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ANZIIF, ACII, or a Degree in Maritime Studies).
