Assistant Financial Controller

Job Purpose

The Assistant Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial management, reporting, controls, and business partnering for all the business units. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong cost controls, contract profitability analysis, and compliance with regulatory and company policies while supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, and annual financial closing for all the Business Units.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, cost allocation, accruals, and provisions in line with accounting standards.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and review management reports with detailed variance analysis and operational insights.
• Internal Controls, Compliance & Audit
• Ensure strong internal controls over revenue, payroll, procurement, and capex across Business Units.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and industry-specific regulations.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including resolution of audit findings.

• Supervise and review work of finance staff supporting the Business Units.
• Provide coaching and guidance to improve financial and operational understanding.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliverables from the finance team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant work experience in a similar finance or accounting role.

• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using SAP and MS Office applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
