This role sits at the core of how we scale a regulated fintech business.
You will own the integrity of our financial records while ensuring we meet MAS regulatory standards in a fast-evolving environment.
As we expand products and enter new phases of growth, the complexity of reporting, client money handling, and regulatory scrutiny increases, and this is where your impact matters.
You will act as the bridge between finance, compliance, and product, ensuring every new initiative is built on a robust and compliant financial foundation.
Responsibilites: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, accounts payable, and payment execution processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations across payroll, vendors, and intercompany flows.
Ensure MAS compliance by preparing daily capital adequacy calculations and delivering accurate, timely regulatory filings across quarterly and annual cycles.
Safeguard client money requirements by maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards, reducing risk and ensuring operational integrity.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, producing reliable financial statements that support decision-making and external reporting.
Own the audit process by acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality outputs.
Deliver accurate tax reporting, including GST filings, by navigating the complexities of financial services treatment across exempt and taxable supplies.
Partner with product and technology teams during UAT cycles, ensuring new instruments such as Shares and CFDs are correctly reflected in financial systems.
Validate ledger mappings for trades, fees, and assets, ensuring financial accuracy from day one of new product launches.
Strengthen financial controls and processes, identifying gaps and implementing scalable solutions as the business grows.
Requirements: Industry Knowledge Strong grounding in financial accounting within regulated environments, ideally fintech, trading, or financial services.
Working knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements, including capital adequacy and client money rules.
Experience handling GST in financial services, with a clear understanding of exempt vs taxable supplies.
Problem-Solving Ability to translate regulatory and accounting complexity into clear, structured processes.
Comfortable operating in evolving environments where systems, products, and requirements are still being shaped.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies before they become issues.
Collaboration & Influence Experience working cross-functionally with compliance, product, and technology teams.
Confident communicator who can align stakeholders on financial and regulatory requirements.
