I. License Application
- Complete the license application project plan and preliminary research (including but not limited to the MPI license).
- Review key MPI license application documents and policy frameworks prepared by intermediaries and Compliance Officers, such as business plan, risk management framework, and AML/CFT policies.
- Ensure the company’s resource planning supports compliant operations after license approval.
- Hold regular meetings with consulting agents and the internal compliance team to update on application progress, critical issues, and feedback from MAS.
- Provide guidance on critical decision points raised by agents and the internal compliance team, including policy choices and positioning for responding to MAS inquiries.
- Act as the company’s designated representative to directly engage in formal communication, meetings, or interviews with MAS, beyond the scope of the intermediary’s duties.
- Ensure continuous fulfillment of all MAS “fit and proper” criteria, including but not limited to maintaining good professional reputation, competence, and integrity.
- Abide by directors’ fiduciary and diligent duties; proactively identify, disclose, and avoid any conflicts of duty or interest that may compromise independent judgment or the company’s interests.
