Finance Manager
We are helping our client, a market leader in retail ( home appliances ) to seek a hands-on and commercially driven Finance Manager / Finance Director to oversee the company’s finance and HR operations. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in supporting business growth, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining compliance, and partnering with management to drive business performance.
This role requires a proactive individual who is able to work independently, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to both strategic planning and day-to-day operational matters.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Business Operations- Oversee the full spectrum of finance operations, ensuring smooth daily financial activities and accurate reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, controls, and operational procedures.
- Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and business performance updates for leadership review.
- Support strategic business planning and evaluate financial implications of business initiatives.
- Oversee HR functions including recruitment coordination, employee administration, and HR policy implementation.
- Partner with department heads to support manpower planning and operational requirements.
- Ensure HR processes and practices comply with employment regulations and company standards.
- Act as a key business partner to senior management by providing financial insights and operational recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to align business objectives and operational goals.
- Facilitate regular management discussions and provide updates on financial and operational matters.
- Coordinate with external parties including auditors, banks, vendors, consultants, and government agencies when required.
- Support and enhance business systems, workflows, and operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Participate in system implementation, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably in SME or regional business environments.
- Experience overseeing HR and operational functions will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
