We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Technical Sales Support Engineer to join our esteemed sales team, with a specialized focus on supporting our sales efforts in the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industry sectors.
This role is crucial in driving the sales of our advanced ductwork and control-device solutions by leveraging technical expertise, providing tailored customer support, and delivering strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of process exhaust ductwork systems, HVAC system design, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in technical sales within these specialized sectors.

Candidate is also expected to be proactive and results-oriented individual who thrives in a technical sales environment, possesses a strong customer focus, and is committed to driving business growth through innovative solutions and exceptional service within these critical sectors.

Responsibilities:

Technical Sales Expertise & Support:

  • Serve as the foremost technical authority on our comprehensive range of stainless steel bare and coated ductwork products, control devices, and integrated system solutions, including both Acesian's in-house products and external vendor products.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs and project requirements within the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical sectors to recommend optimal ductwork configurations and system solutions.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to educate and influence key stakeholders on the advantages of our products, effectively communicating the value proposition of our ductwork solutions and integrated systems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and the sales team, providing in-depth technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and solutions to meet evolving needs and clarify technical aspects.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and clients to understand their feedback, concerns, and challenges, and facilitate timely resolutions to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Ensure that client requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications and project plans by working closely with the engineering team.

System Integration & Design Support:

  • Provide expertise as a system solution provider, demonstrating knowledge of how our ductwork and control-device solutions integrate and handshake with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Utilize actual experience involving airflow HVAC and system control/design to develop comprehensive solutions for complex client requirements.

Sales Strategy & Business Development Support:

  • Provide valuable technical insights to support the development and execution of strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives to achieve sales targets and expand market presence within the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in target industries, including hospitals, research facilities, pharmaceutical companies, contractors, engineers, and architects.
  • Contribute technical expertise to the prospecting for new business opportunities, qualification of leads, and conversion of prospects into loyal customers.

Project Coordination and Support:

  • Partner with internal departments (e.g., engineering, project operations, logistics) to coordinate project execution from initial inquiry through to delivery and installation, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical reviews to support project implementation and address customer requirements effectively.

Market Analysis and Product Development Input:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the process exhaust ductwork, ductwork sector, and specifically healthcare facility requirements.
  • Provide valuable market insights and technical feedback to support product development initiatives, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns tailored to target audiences.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, or customizations based on customer feedback and market demand.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1~2 years of successful experience in technical sales, with a strong emphasis on process exhaust ductwork systems, ductwork solutions, or related products, and a proven track record in the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sectors. Actual experiences involving airflow HVAC and system control/design is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good technical knowledge of process exhaust ductwork principles, ductwork design, airflow dynamics, and a strong understanding of HVAC system design and industry standards are required. Familiarity with healthcare facility requirements and regulations is preferred. Proven ability to provide system solutions that handshake with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Skills: Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
