Deployment Technician
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Deployment Technician to support the deployment, operation, testing, and demonstration of advanced robotic and autonomous systems across land, air, maritime, and humanoid platforms.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on fieldwork, operating robots and autonomous systems, and supporting customer-facing deployments in both local and overseas environments.
The Deployment Technician will work closely with the deployment team to ensure smooth execution of trials, demonstrations, and operational support activities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate robotic systems including UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles), UAVs (drones), USVs (Unmanned Surface Vessels), and humanoid robots during trials and demonstrations
- Assist in setup, deployment, and testing of autonomous and automated systems
- Configure and adjust software settings for robotic and automated platforms
- Support field trials, system demonstrations, and customer acceptance tests
- Prepare reports on trial setup, observations, and results
- Troubleshoot basic to moderate technical issues during deployment activities
- Support customer training and operational familiarization sessions
- Work extensively outdoors across various operating environments including land and marine settings
- Travel overseas on short notice for deployment support, with approximately 4–5 trips per year, each potentially lasting several weeks
- Fast learner with strong interest in robotics and autonomous systems
- Comfortable operating robots, drones, marine platforms, and humanoid systems
- Able to understand simple to moderate technical concepts and instructions
- Good report writing and documentation skills
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Comfortable working outdoors for more than 50% of the role
- Able to travel internationally on short notice and remain overseas for extended periods when required
- Prior experience in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Home Team, or related operational environments
- Possession of a valid boat license (advantageous)
- Exposure to robotics, automation, unmanned systems, or technical field operations
