Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Fellow, in the NUS Bia-Echo Asia Centre for Reproductive Longevity & Equality (ACRLE). Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. ACRLE collaborates with many experts and organizations to advance research in women’s reproductive health, leveraging on biomedical science, digital medicine, translational clinical work, public health and epidemiology, and health communication and public outreach.

Purpose of the post

The Research Fellows (RF) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the projects on time. The RF is expected to participate and be trained in specific projects spanning the entire duration of the contract.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Research Fellow will be expected to lead the design and implementation of studies aimed at understanding reproduction and ageing biology. The RF will be able to:

  1. Design and execute research projects independently
  2. Train and Teach juniors in the team as well as attachment students on the principles of research and research techniques
  3. Write and/or assist in writing grants for the continued funding support of research
  4. Be updated on the latest literature and work on Reproductive ageing and how research can fill the gaps in knowledge to provide novel and innovative solutions

Qualifications

The applicant should:

  1. Hold a PhD in Life Sciences, Biology or related disciplines with expertise in reproductive biology highly preferable.
  2. Be competent in the use of preclinical model organisms for research studies.
  3. Be competent in quantitative data analyses, multi-omics preferable.
  4. Be able to work independently and, in a team, and have an investigative nature & attention to details

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
