As the Sales Manager - FMCG / Modern Trade at Seawaves, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's sales performance across its FMCG and modern trade channels. You will be responsible for driving distribution, managing commercial terms, executing promotions, and growing market share across the Singapore retail landscape.

This role is ideal for an experienced FMCG professional who understands the realities of modern trade and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

We are seeking a results-driven Key Account Manager.

Account Management Responsibility
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key retail accounts.
  • Conduct regular store visits to strengthen relationships with store managers and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement channel differentiation strategies.
  • Work closely with immediate superior and buyers to initiate sales and promotional plans.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to inform strategy.
  • Negotiate pricing, promotional allowances, and trading terms to secure mutually beneficial commercial outcomes
  • Actively hunt for new accounts and expand distribution of products.
  • Drive sales growth and profitability by achieving volume and distribution targets.
  • Manage & optimise promotional budgets, ensuring an efficient ROI.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports including sales reports, promotion proposals, and competitor analyses.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to plan and forecast adequate inventory for the channel and work with them to bring forward/ increase the shipments preventing out of stock situations.
  • Promptly resolve operational issues within a short timeframe.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of sales orders, customer feedback, product returns, exchange requests, and issuance of credit notes.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG or modern trade industry
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and using insights to drive business decisions
  • Passion for the retail and consumer products industry, with a deep understanding of market trends
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or sales management
  • Experience in FairPrice will be added advantage.
