Regional Legal Compliance Manager - Bukit Merah

A leader in Shipping and Logistics company is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidates for the Regional Legal Compliance Manager position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain compliance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with current laws and best practices.
• Oversee policy reviews, updates, and approvals in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Lead compliance training and communications across internal teams and third-party partners.
• Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions and recommend appropriate updates.
• Establish and uphold a governance structure to ensure consistent policy enforcement.
• Manage internal investigations on potential breaches of law, policy, or ethics—overseeing fact-finding, documentation, and confidentiality.
• Propose and track corrective actions post-investigation.
• Design and implement compliance assessment and monitoring programs.
• Work closely with audit, risk, and operations teams to strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks.
• Prepare reports on compliance trends and risks for leadership review.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law, Business, or related discipline.
• 6-8 years of experience in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, or internal audit.
• Experience leading compliance functions or initiatives in a multinational or cross-functional environment.
• Strong knowledge of global compliance frameworks, risk assessment, and investigation procedures.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement ability.
