Project Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Project Engineer to join our team at JIANGAN MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. This is a full-time position based in the Woodlands North Region. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical engineering projects.Your contributions will directly impact project timelines, quality standards, and client satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst developing your expertise in project management and engineering coordination within a dynamic and growing organisation.
What you'll be doing- Assist in the planning and scheduling of mechanical and electrical engineering projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and suppliers to monitor project progress and resolve on-site issues
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns or changes
- Support the estimation and budgeting of project costs and track expenditures against budgets
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and project proposals
- Maintain effective communication with the engineering and management team to ensure project objectives are met
- Identify and escalate potential risks or delays to project management and implement mitigation strategies
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Proven experience in a project engineering or site engineering role within the construction, mechanical or electrical engineering industry
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in relevant software and digital tools, including CAD, Microsoft Office and project management applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Sound understanding of safety regulations and quality standards within the construction and engineering sectors
- Problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challenges
- Familiarity with Singapore's building codes, regulations and standards is advantageous
- Professional certification such as NICEC or relevant engineering qualifications would be beneficial
