Managing Director

Havas Media Singapore is looking for a Managing Director to drive the overall strategic direction, growth and profitability of our agency. This role manages key client relationships, drive innovation in media planning and buying, establishes and implements the strategic direction of the agency’s operations in line with our organisation goals and ensures operational excellence.

This individual will also oversee agency operations, manage budgets and agency resources, lead teams and ensure client satisfaction.

• Develop annual business plans and strategic plans in line with agency goals and priorities to deliver profitability and growth
• Manage budgets, ensuring profitability and overall operational performance
• Analyse financial performance of the agency
• Drive new business pitches to grow the agency’s portfolio and/or new business proposals to existing clients when necessary
• Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key senior clients, understanding client needs and ensuring client satisfaction and serving as a trusted, strategic partner
• Generate fame for agency through participation in awards, events, social publicity and thought-leadership
• Continuously review internal team structures to ensure that it is optimized
• Ensure excellence in client service and planning standards
• Collaborate with different business units to identify and pursue organic growth opportunities
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows, and resolving operational issues
• Lead and motivate a team of professionals, providing guidance, feedback and support
• Foster a culture that is cohesive, collaborative and inclusive
• Set the overall culture, tone and style of the agency

• Proven track record over 10+ years’ experience, ideally in a network media agency with a proven track record of driving business growth and client success
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change
• Be able to manage and motivate employees, clients and publishers at all levels
• Deep and thorough understanding of the Singapore media and advertising landscape including trends, platforms, technologies and best practices
• Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies for business growth and to deliver measurable results
• Proven collaborator within a network with excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional client service
• Highly developed commercial and business acumen, financially adept
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills as well as compelling presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
