Job Description
We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Business Analyst to support sales and marketing [MH1] capability. The role focuses on working with commercial, strategy, and analytics teams to translate price forecasting requirements, assumptions, and outputs into clear functional and data requirements for digital and analytics solutions.This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and analytics, supporting forecasting models, dashboards, and decision-support tools used in commercial planning and pricing discussions.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and document business requirements for price forecasting through workshops, interviews, and working sessions with Commercial, Strategy, and Analytics stakeholders.
- Support analysis of current (as is) and future (to be) forecasting processes, including inputs, assumptions, scenarios, and outputs.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for analytics products such as forecasting models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure business logic, assumptions, and constraints are correctly implemented.
- Support definition and validation of forecast inputs (e.g. market indicators, scenarios, sensitivities) and outputs (e.g. price ranges, confidence bands, drivers).
- Assist with UAT planning and execution, including validating forecast logic, results, and visualisations against business expectations.
- Support documentation of forecasting methodologies, assumptions, data sources, and limitations to improve transparency and adoption.
- Provide post deployment support and contribute to continuous improvement of the price forecasting capability.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, ideally supporting analytics, data, or commercial decision support solutions.
- Experience with Machine Learning for pricing prediction.
- Strong ability to translate business questions into structured requirements, particularly in data or model driven contexts.
- Experience working with analytical tools, dashboards, or forecasting outputs (hands on modelling not required).
- Understanding of Agile delivery and working in cross functional teams (business, analytics, technology).
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness and curiosity to learn commodity markets, pricing, and forecasting concepts.
