Analyst / Associate, Financial Institutions Group Investment Banking
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst / Associate to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the Investment Banking division. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to build a career advising leading financial institutions across Asia, based in Singapore.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers on a broad range of transactions, including M&A, capital raising, strategic advisory and financing solutions spanning Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Fintech, and Specialty Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of M&A transactions, equity and debt offerings, and strategic advisory mandates for FIG clients
- Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis (DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions), and scenario analysis
- Conduct in-depth industry research and prepare client materials, including pitchbooks, sector updates, and transaction documentation
- Assist in due diligence processes, data analysis, regulatory review, and internal approval workflows
- Collaborate with regional and global product partners to deliver integrated solutions
- Monitor market activity, regulatory developments, and competitive trends across the financial services sector
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 1–5 years of investment banking, corporate finance or related experience (internship experience also considered)
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
- Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles
- Strong interest in the financial institutions sector (banks, insurers, fintech, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in English required, with Mandarin a plus
