Senior Assistant Director, Joint Office of Academic Medicine (2 year contract)
Join SingHealth's Joint Office of Academic Medicine and play a pivotal role in advancing academic medicine across Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster. You will be part of the team that drives the integration of clinical service, research, and education to improve outcomes for patients and the population through our Academic Clinical Programmes (ACPs).
We are seeking a Senior Assistant Director to lead the ACP Support Team and drive the end-to-end implementation of approved administrative restructuring initiatives. You will work closely with the Group Director, Academic Medicine and coordinate extensively with stakeholders across SingHealth to ensure timely implementation and consistent adoption of Academic Medicine (AM) strategies.
What You Will Do:
You will support research, innovation, education, and clinical programmes that strengthen AM across our ACPs, whilst leading the implementation of the administrative restructuring of ACPs. Your role involves translating workgroup recommendations into detailed operating models, including role definitions, reporting lines, governance structures, and employment frameworks to enhance SingHealth’s administrative capability as a cluster.You will develop implementation documentation such as guidelines, standard operating procedures, and transition plans to enable consistent adoption across ACPs and SingHealth institutions. Additionally, you will facilitate coordination among ACPs with cluster and institutional stakeholders including SingHealth Systemness Office and Group Chief Medical Board's Office to improve clarity and consistency.
Your responsibilities extend to providing secretariat support for selected activities involving such as governance and reporting for ACP restructuring.
Job Requirements:
- Good Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in change management, preferably in the healthcare, education, or research sectors
- Strong background in strategic planning and management
- Experience supporting coordination and change management across multiple institutions and departments
- Proven ability to drive end-to-end implementation beyond policy design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight timelines
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse organisational cultures and perspectives
