Medical Social Worker

Location: Central Region
Employment Type: Full-time, 5-day work week
Salary Range: $3,700 – $4,200/month

Contract Type: Permanent / Renewable Contract

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Medical Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide holistic psychosocial-spiritual support to patients living with dermatological conditions. You’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to empower patients, connect them to appropriate resources, and promote psychosocial wellbeing through education and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial-spiritual assessments and provide effective intervention for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to refer patients for financial assistance and support programmes.
Plan, facilitate, and evaluate patient support groups and community outreach initiatives.
Deliver psychoeducation to patients, caregivers, and the public through workshops, talks, and seminars.
Contribute to department or organisation-wide projects and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work from a recognised institution.
Minimum 1 year of relevant social work experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling is an added advantage.
Strong assessment, counselling, and case management skills.
Empathetic, resourceful, and a strong team player.
