The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share across Singapore, the Riau Islands (Batam, Bintan, Karimun), the Philippines, and Guam. This role focuses on strategic distributor management, solution-based selling, and leveraging the company’s global product portfolio to meet regional demands.The position requires a strong commercial mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to build lasting relationships with channel partners and end users.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive sales and expand market share across Singapore, the Riau Islands (Batam, Bintan, Karimun), the Philippines, and Guam.
- Implement strategic plans to achieve sales and profitability targets using a broad product portfolio.
- Support sales efforts in key industry segments such as offshore, shipbuilding, structural steel, and processing plants.
- Manage and develop distributor relationships, including regular meetings and joint strategy planning.
- Identify and address product knowledge gaps among distributors and end users through training and engagement.
- Promote solution-based selling at the end-user level and participate in internal training to build technical expertise.
- Continuously develop both technical and soft skills to enhance personal and professional effectiveness.
- Leverage global sourcing options to offer competitive and profitable product solutions.
- Collaborate with regional technical resources to drive new product sales and expand into new customer accounts.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior technical sales role, preferably in welding applications.
- Strong understanding of product safety, technical sales, and industry-specific standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to coach and guide distributors, sales teams, and customers.
- Degree in Engineering or Business-related field.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, deliver results, and maintain customer focus.
- Sound judgment and integrity in decision-making.
- Senior technical sales experience in other industrial machinery is welcomed.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
