The Company
Our client, is a reputable and well-established trading company designing scalable, cloud-native data solutions.
The Role- Design scalable, cloud-native data architectures to support trading and marketing operations.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Architect and implement Databricks Lakehouse solutions (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Workflows).
- Maintain and scale a centralized Data Asset Register and inventory for Marketing-wide data visibility.
- Lead the migration of legacy data solutions to modern Lakehouse architecture.
- Define and enforce data governance standards including lineage, cataloging, and access control.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data into a unified analytics platform.
- Drive best practices in data quality, observability, and metadata management.
- Provide architectural oversight via participation in the Architecture Review Board / Design Authority.
- Collaborate closely with business users, developers, and analysts to align data strategy with organizational goals.
- Contribute to reusable architecture artefacts, onboarding frameworks, and federated governance models.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience in enterprise data architecture and big data solution design.
- Strong track record of building data models from scratch (conceptual, logical, physical).
- Deep expertise with
- Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Workflows)
- Azure Data Factory, Service Bus, Event Grid
- Power BI, PySpark, SQL, Python
- SQL Server, SSAS, ER Studio
- Solid understanding of data integration, data quality, and governance frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-native data architectures.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
