Role Overview
As an Assistant Childcare Teacher, you will support the planning and delivery of educational and developmental programs for children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with Childcare Teachers and other stakeholders to provide consistent care and guidance, striving for excellence, sincerity, and dedication in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in Educational Programme Delivery- Support Childcare Teachers in implementing age-appropriate learning activities and lesson plans.
- Facilitate creative, interactive, and hands-on learning experiences under supervision.
- Help adapt activities to meet individual children’s learning needs and interests
- Encourage positive behavior, empathy, and interpersonal skills among children.
- Assist in guiding children in conflict resolution and constructive expression of emotions.
- Monitor children closely during activities, playtime, and routines to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with hygiene routines, mealtimes, and active play, promoting overall well-being.
- Help observe children’s progress and behavior, reporting insights to Childcare Teachers.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of developmental milestones and learning activities.
- Communicate effectively with Childcare Teachers regarding children’s needs and progress.
- Work alongside colleagues and volunteers to support classroom activities and care routines.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
- Follow MTFA policies, procedures, and statutory childcare regulations consistently.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Credentials- Hold a Fundamentals or Advance Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education
- Experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a related field is an advantage.
- Familiarity with assisting in lesson delivery and child supervision is preferred.
- Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assist in fostering holistic child development—social, emotional, cognitive, and moral.
- Team player; able to support Childcare Teachers, colleagues, parents, and volunteers effectively.
