Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and approve credit proposals for SME and corporate loan applications based on financial analysis, industry outlook, and risk appetite.
- Develop and implement credit risk frameworks, scorecards, and risk rating models.
- Monitor and review existing SME loan portfolio performance to identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with business development and underwriting teams to balance growth with risk controls.
- Conduct in-depth financial and cash flow analysis of borrowers and industries.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and credit risk limits.
- Present credit cases and risk findings to credit committees and senior management.
- Support the development of early warning systems and stress testing models.
- Train junior credit analysts and provide technical guidance on credit evaluation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably with a focus on SME lending.
- Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
- Familiarity with Basel guidelines, credit scoring systems, and risk rating methodologies.
- Solid understanding of SME business models and lending risks.
- Proficient in financial modeling and using tools such as Excel, credit systems, and databases.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills.
