Role Overview

Key Responsibilities- Mission-Aligned People Strategy
- Develop and implement a holistic HR strategy that supports CWS’ mission, growth, and sustainability.
- Champion a culture grounded in service, compassion, and the dignity of every person.
- Advise leadership on workforce planning, organisational design, and change management.
- Talent Attraction & Formation
- Attract individuals who are not only competent but also aligned with the organisation’s values and calling.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies, especially in a tight healthcare labour market.
- Design formation programmes that help staff connect their daily work to a deeper sense of purpose and service.
- Staff Engagement & Well-being
Implement initiatives addressing burnout, especially among caregiving staff.
Strengthen employee engagement through listening, recognition, and community-building efforts.
- Learning & Development
- Build strong capability development frameworks across clinical, operational, and corporate roles.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth, aligned with evolving eldercare needs.
- Performance & Culture
- Integrate pastoral care philosophy into HR practices where appropriate.
- Oversee performance management systems that are fair, developmental, and mission-driven.
- Shape organisational culture to promote accountability, teamwork, and excellence in care delivery.
- Address staff relations issues with empathy, fairness, and integrity.
- HR Operations &Governance
- Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with Singapore regulations and best practices.
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and workforce analytics to support informed decision-making.
- Strengthen HR systems and processes for efficiency and scalability.
- A degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
- At least 10-15 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, social services, or non-profit sectors.
- Strong understanding of Singapore employment laws and workforce challenges.
- Proven ability to lead organisational change and build high-performing teams.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Uphold integrity and accountability in managing human resources.
- A problem-solver with integrity, curiosity, and strong commitment to serving seniors and vulnerable communities.
