About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) to support and enhance business-critical enterprise applications for our client.

This is a hybrid role combining application support, troubleshooting, system enhancement, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining application stability while working closely with business users, vendors, and technical teams to deliver ongoing improvements.

The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy both technical problem-solving and hands-on development work.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve application incidents, defects, and service requests.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and stability.
• Work closely with business users to understand and resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate deployments, releases, and production support activities.
• Participate in after-hours support activities when required.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop applications.
• Implement application enhancements and new features.
• Troubleshoot and optimise existing systems.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Follow software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Create support guides, knowledge base articles, and operational runbooks.
• Ensure documentation remains current and accurate.

• Work closely with business users, project managers, architects, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide updates and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure solutions comply with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audit activities when required.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in application support, software development, or a combination of both.
• Experience supporting enterprise business applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling Level 2 and Level 3 support activities.
• Comfortable working directly with end users and business stakeholders.

Technical Skills

Experience in some or all of the following:

• ASP.NET / C#
• ASP Classic
• VB.NET
• JavaScript
• HTML / CSS
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Web application development
• API integrations

Nice to Have:

• ColdFusion
• ITIL certification
• Exposure to solution design or application architecture
• Experience supporting ERP, CRM, or staffing-related systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
