Field Service Engineer (Rotating Equipment), Regional

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Field Service Specialist to join a globally recognized industrial services team, delivering aftermarket support and technical expertise across a range of turbomachinery systems. This position plays a critical role in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and overhaul of complex rotating equipment at customer sites across the region.

The successful candidate will work independently or lead small teams on field assignments, ensuring work is executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. You will also serve as a key liaison between operations, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead field activities related to equipment installation, start-up, inspection, and repair of high-speed rotating machinery.
• Supervise teams, contractors, and subcontractors on site during service execution.
• Perform technical assessments and provide troubleshooting support for mechanical systems including compressors, expanders, and auxiliary equipment.
• Prepare and present work method statements, toolbox talks, and service documentation in compliance with safety and quality procedures.
• Conduct root cause analyses on mechanical issues and support improvement recommendations.
• Interface directly with customers to ensure expectations and specifications are met or exceeded.
• Provide field-based feedback to support service, parts, and upgrade opportunities.
• Document service outcomes through clear, detailed technical reports and job assessments.
• Assist in the training and development of junior service personnel.

Requirements:

• A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in field service work related to rotating machinery, preferably in energy, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Strong mechanical and thermodynamic understanding, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with project scheduling software is an advantage.
• Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel for international and regional assignments.
