Project Manager (Waterfront)
JOB SUMMARY (GENERAL NATURE / OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB):
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a premier waterfront development at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) in Singapore. This project is part of the RWS 2.0 initiative. It will include approximately 700 luxury hotel rooms, a four-story retail and dining podium, and an iconic waterfront sculpture designed by Heatherwick Studio.The Project Manager will oversee the entire construction process, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale hospitality and commercial developments, particularly in waterfront settings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
- Project Execution & Compliance – Lead the planning and execution of the waterfront development, ensuring adherence to design, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Work closely with architects, marine engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to meet coastal construction and environmental impact requirements.
- Risk & Safety Management – Identify and mitigate risks related to tidal variations, sea level rise, flooding, and extreme weather while enforcing strict safety protocols.
- Budget & Resource Optimization – Manage financial planning, procurement of marine-specific materials, and contract negotiations to ensure project efficiency.
- Technical Leadership & Problem-Solving – Address complex construction challenges involving hydrodynamics, tidal forces, and coastal weather conditions, ensuring smooth project delivery.

- Project Management Expertise – Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or Lean methodologies and tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for efficient planning and execution.
- Stakeholder & Risk Management – Experience working with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and contractors to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Construction Logistics – Expertise in managing land-based and marine logistics, including vessel movements and heavy equipment coordination.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Waterfront & Marine Construction – Deep understanding of marine piling, coastal foundations, breakwaters, and shoreline protection techniques. •Regulatory Compliance & Environmental Laws – Familiarity with Singapore’s maritime regulations, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and safety protocols.• Financial & Contract Management – Strong knowledge of budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and cost control for waterfront infrastructure projects.
FORMAL EDUCATION:
MAJOR STUDY/SPECIALIST (EDUCATION):
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of 8 years in construction project management, with proven leadership in complex projects. A minimum of 5 years managing large-scale, high-end commercial, or hospitality projects. Experience in waterfront developments or similarly complex projects is highly desirable.
