Business & data analytics internship (3-months) - Toa Payoh
You will work closely with management on data-driven insights that help inform commercial and operational decision-making. The role provides a unique opportunity to apply economics, statistics, and business analytics to real-world transport and infrastructure challenges, working closely with management and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Data Mining & Analysis:
o Extract, clean, and analyse operational and financial datasets.
o Identify trends and operational performance across different time periods.
Economic & Statistical Modelling:
o Conduct scenario planning and develop quantitative models to benchmark and assess impacts on operational frameworks and strategies.
Reporting & Presentation:
o Prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentation materials for management and stakeholders.
o Support in developing briefing notes, visualising data insights, and presenting alternative policy or commercial options.
Project Administration & Support:
o Assist in coordinating a regular cadence of project meetings, including agenda preparation, note-taking, and follow-up.
o Provide general administrative support and documentation for ongoing operations projects.
Requirements- Degree (or currently pursing) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support roles.
- Proficient in use of data tools , e.g. PowerBI, Qikview, Tableau, etc.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple reporting lines.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the transport, logistics, travel, or maritime sectors is an advantage.
