Responsibility
- Assist and support Head Safety, Security & Emergency Planning (SSEP), Safety Manager and Senior Management in the design, implementation, monitoring and improvement of the Risk Management framework in operations and maintenance of Jurong Region Line (JRL).
- Manage the data and preparation, analysis and report submission of safety performance.
- Assist Head SSEP and Safety Manager in the planning, coordination and conduct of internal and external safety assurance audits and activities.
- Support and advise on WSH issues and control measures to manage safety risks.
- Support, contribute and assist the Safety Section to comply with legal, MOM, WSH and regulatory requirements and achieve ZERO harm in the workplace.
- Coordinate the review and improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Plan, assist and coordinate internal audits to monitor the implementation of the SMS.
- Support, coordinate and assist external auditors in their observations/inspections
- Assist to manage the continual certification of IMS.
- Organise safety inspections for depots and station to check for unsafe acts/conditions.
- Manage the update and improvement of safety related procedures and processes.
- Assist, support and review investigation reports on WSH or Railway Operations related railway incidents and accidents, and the submission of the reports to the Regulator and related stakeholders.
- Perform the Secretariat role and prepare presentation materials for the Senior Management Safety Committee, WSHC, etc.
- Monitor, participate, update and follow-up on the action items related to the SMSSC, WSHC, PEEPO, etc and the minutes of meeting.
- Assist in the Operations Safety Submissions and associated processes.
- Assist, support and conduct Operations Support Hazard Analysis on engineering and operation procedures.
- Advise on safety for system expansion or modification projects.
- Review trend analysis and operating performance standards reports.
- Deal with Statutory Authorities on environmental, safety regulatory and standards.
- Perform the role of Duty Officer as scheduled.
- Perform the role of CMR Operator for the Joint Incident Management Committee.
- Assist Security and Emergency Planning audits and activities.
- Assist in any duty assigned by the Head of Department.
- Engineering or technical (or equivalent) Degree
- Preferably with 1 year of relevant experience in railway industry
- Good interpersonal skills e.g. negotiation, communication.
- Good procedure, instruction and report writing skills.
- Good problem solving skills e.g. processing information for a solution.
- Approved Workplace Safety and Health Officer by MOM
