Forklift truck operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Operator to join our team at the West Region. This full-time role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift truck to load, unload, and move materials and goods around our warehouse.

1. Operate forklifts industrial trucks to move, lift, and place materials and products in the warehouse
2. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
3. Move materials and products to designated storage areas or work stations
4. Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklift trucks to ensure they are in safe working order
5. Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
6. Keep accurate records of all movements and activities
7. Support the wider warehouse and logistics team as required

1. Previous experience as a Forklift Truck Operator in a open warehousing or logistics environment
2. Forklift truck operator certification or license
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
4. Good communication and teamwork skills
5. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
6. Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics processes
