 I.  Basic Job Information
  1. Reporting to: Headquaters
  2. Team Members: 2-3 people at headquarters + 10-12 people in overseas branches (Southeast Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam; Europe: Germany, France, Netherlands; USA)
  3. Work Location: Based in Singapore , occasional short-term business trips
  4. Recruitment Reason: New Position
  5. Core Requirements:
  • Must have financial experience in the global freight forwarding industry, with experience in Southeast Asia, proficient in Cargowise system, and must have experience in designated cargo business in the freight forwarding industry;
  • Able to adapt to short-term (7 to 14 days) overseas business trips, fluent in English communication;
II. Main Job Responsibilities
  1. Financial Management and Accounting:
  • Establish and unify financial processes and standards for project cost accounting, revenue recognition, and expense control for subsidiaries in Southeast Asia and the USA.
  • Supervise daily accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements (management reports) to clearly reflect the overall profitability, cost structure, and financial status of the overseas project.
  • Monitor project-related accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow to improve the efficiency of fund utilization.
  1. Tax and Compliance Management:
  • Deeply understand tax laws in Southeast Asian countries and the USA (especially corporate tax, value-added tax/GST, customs duties, etc.), ensure compliance in all tax filings, and conduct reasonable tax planning.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and local government agencies, and cooperate in completing audits and inspections.
  • Continuously monitor changes in tax and financial regulations in various countries, assess their impact on business, and promptly propose response strategies.
  1. Financial Analysis and Decision Support:
  • Deeply analyze project financial data to identify cost optimization opportunities, reasons for profit margin fluctuations, and potential business risks.
  • Provide financial models and analysis reports for decision-making in pricing strategies, contract reviews, and new market expansion for business departments.
  • Regularly report project financial performance to management and provide insightful business recommendations.
  1. Fund and Foreign Exchange Risk Management:
  • Manage inter-subsidiary fund allocation and settlement, optimize cross-border fund flows.
  • Monitor fluctuations in the exchange rates of the US dollar and currencies of Southeast Asian countries, assess foreign exchange risks, and propose hedging strategies.
  1. Team Collaboration and System Optimization:
  • As the core financial contact person, closely collaborate with business teams, operation teams, and local finance personnel in Southeast Asia and the USA to solve financial issues in business.
  • Promote the digitalization of finance, optimize or introduce ERP, financial software, and other tools to enhance the automation level and data accuracy of cross-regional financial work.
III. Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, or related fields, with CPA, ACCA, or equivalent international accounting qualifications preferred.
  2. At least 8 years of financial work experience, including 3 years of experience as a regional finance manager or equivalent position in multinational companies.
  3. Have background in international freight forwarding industry, familiar with business processes and financial characteristics of the industry. Experience in DGF, CEVA, KN, DSV, APEX, Transcom, DB Schenker, Kuehne + Nagel, DHL, etc. is preferred.
  4. Have practical financial experience in multiple countries in Southeast Asia and the USA, familiar with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
  5. Excellent English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, able to communicate, report, and present fluently in English as a working language.
  6. Proficient in the full process business handling and financial module of Cargowise.
  7. Excellent communication, coordination and project management skills, able to adapt to multicultural environments and work efficiently with teams in different time zones.
