Thermal Design Engineer - Jurong West

Our Client:

• Engineering Company
• 5 Days (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Tuas MRT
• Basic Salary: Up to $4,800
• AWS & Variable bonus based on company performance

Responsibilities:

• Perform thermal and hydraulic design of shell-and-tube and air-cooled heat exchangers.
• Select suitable exchanger types and materials based on process data and client specs.
• Generate thermal calculations using tools like HTRI or Aspen EDR.
• Collaborate with mechanical and cross-functional teams to ensure design integration and compliance.
• Prepare technical documents and optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal design of heat exchangers; strong fresh grads may be considered.
• Proficient in HTRI, Aspen EDR, and pressure vessel design tools (e.g., PVElite, AutoPIPE Vessel).
• Solid understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, and relevant international codes (TEMA, ASME, API).
