Geylang - Engineering Manager – Data Centre Business

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Engineering Manager to join our Data Centre Business Unit in Singapore. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and expertise to support our Sales and Key Account teams in driving business growth within the data centre segment.

You will bridge the gap between technical solutions and commercial success, ensuring that customer needs are effectively translated into innovative, reliable, and value-driven offerings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data centre engineering, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to engage confidently with customers throughout the sales cycle—from identifying opportunities and presenting solutions to ensuring successful project implementation.

You will work closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and contribute to strategies that strengthen our market presence and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and develop tailored technical solutions. Provide product demonstrations, technical presentation and technical advice to potential clients.
  • Solution Design and Proposal: Design, configure, and present complex technical solutions to client. Prepare CDE, technical proposal, documentation to tender RFQ
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationship with both new and existing customers. Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand their challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Sales Enablement: Assist the sales team in closing deals by offering technical insights, ensuring that proposed solutions meet customer requirements, and addressing any technical concerns during the sales & project process.
  • Technical Training and Support: Provide training to customers and internal teams on product features, application and best practices.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, product developments, and competitors’ activities. Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions and market insight.
  • Project Coordination: Ensure smooth handover between sales and Projects teams. Track project progress and ensure that customers' expectation is met from a technical perspective.
Key Requirements
  • Working Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales support role, preferably in Data Centre Industry. Proven track record in Diesel Generator technical solution selling and working with cross functional team and supplier to deliver customer requirement.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of Power Generators or Genset and Diesel Engine and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skill. Strong ability to explain technical details clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse customer needs, develop creative solutions and troubleshoot technical challenges in real-time.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus.
  • Business Travel: Willingness to travel within Singapore and occasionally to regional markets as required.
