Investment Counsellor (Private Banking / Wealth Management) - Toa Payoh

A well-established foreign bank with a strong Asian footprint is seeking a high-calibre Investment Counselor to join its Singapore Wealth Management team. This is a strategic client-facing role where you will deliver bespoke investment solutions to high-net-worth clients, with strong collaboration across regional and head office stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial assessments to understand clients’ investment goals, financial profile, and risk appetite
• Design and implement customized investment strategies tailored to individual client needs
• Monitor global markets and trends to provide proactive, data-driven recommendations
• Manage and rebalance investment portfolios in alignment with client objectives and market conditions
• Deliver regular portfolio reviews, performance updates, and maintain full transparency with clients
• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients through excellent advisory service
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Product, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution
• Maintain full compliance with MAS regulations and internal risk controls
• Liaise with stakeholders from headquarters in Mandarin and support cross-border client initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; professional certifications such as CFA or CFP are highly advantageous
• Minimum 10 years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or investment advisory roles
• Proven ability to build and manage HNW/UHNW client portfolios across asset classes
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Fluency in Mandarin is essential, due to frequent engagement with Mandarin-speaking clients and HQ stakeholders
• Must have passed CACS Paper 1 & 2
• Solid understanding of MAS regulatory framework and financial product suitability requirements
