Toa Payoh - Fireproofing Mechanical Engineer (Pharmaceutical / Greenfield projects)

Designing and implementing fire protection systems within buildings and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

This role would involve fire risk assessments, smoke control calculations, and system design analyses, as well as promoting safe working practices and collaborating with other engineers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fire Risk Assessments and Smoke Control: Conduct assessments to identify potential fire hazards and design smoke control systems to meet local codes and standards
• System Design: Design and analyze fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems) to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with regulations
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all fire protection systems are designed and installed according to local codes, international standards, and authority requirements
• Project Execution: Supervise project execution, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work
• Collaboration: Liaise with QA/QC engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure fire protection systems are designed, installed, and commissioned according to specifications and quality standards
• Safe Working Practices: Promote and ensure safe working practices on construction sites to protect the health and safety of employees and clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field,
• Experience in designing and installing fire protection systems in relevant industries (e.g., semiconductors, biopharma).
• Familiarity with Singapore's fire protection codes, standards, and regulations
