BD Manager, APAC - Maritime Industry - Geylang

My client, a globally recognized leader in maritime safety and environmental protection, is currently looking for a dynamic individual to spearhead business growth and development in the APAC region.

The role involves strategic planning, sales, and stakeholder engagement to expand our market presence and achieve revenue targets.

Major Responsibilities:

Strategy:

• Identify priority growth areas and develop business plans.
• Work with the Head of APAC to identify market opportunities and develop products and services.
• Set and achieve short and medium-term business objectives.
• Build commercial business cases to support growth initiatives.
• Use systems and tools to deliver reports for decision-making.

Sales:

• Act as the first point of contact for potential clients.
• Research organizations and individuals to identify new growth opportunities.
• Drive business growth in customer numbers, revenue, ROI, productivity, and efficiency.
• Conduct customer identification and acquisition activities.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through appropriate handovers and issue resolution.
• Interact with prospective consumers to communicate product value and gather feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Develop and maintain customer relationship strategies.
• Communicate new business strategies to customers and stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in key personnel and advise relevant managers.
• Manage customer transitions from solution proposition to operational execution.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

• Extensive experience in generating new business and achieving revenue growth (preferably in maritime industry)
• Ability to quickly forge new relationships and establish credibility.
• Ability to drive scale-up operations and work independently in the region.
• Experience in SaaS or PaaS sales and/or software sales is highly advantageous.
• Strong business acumen with a focus on data and insights.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
