Role Purpose
The Brand Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end strategic management of the footwear portfolio. This includes financial forecasting, Open-to-Buy (OTB) management, and assortment planning to drive revenue while maintaining premium brand positioning and healthy margins.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning & Inventory Management
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare and submit comprehensive sales forecasts and budgets by store, categorized by financial year and buying seasonality.
- OTB Management: Develop and manage seasonal Pre-OTB and OTB (Open-to-Buy) plans.
- Budgeting: Plan purchasing budgets aligned with revenue goals and optimal stock cover.
- Performance Adjustments: Analyze historical and actual sales data to adjust seasonal budgets and OTB for assigned brands.
- Product Assortment & Market Positioning
- Assortment Delivery: Curate product selections that are appropriate for specific consumers, channels, space, and price points, ensuring seasonal highlights are prioritized.
- Price Architecture: Define and refine product positioning and price architecture to reflect brand identity and market demand within approved margin policies.
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and assortments to inform commercial buying decisions.
- Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Partnerships: Act as the primary liaison for brand partners and regional brand managers to ensure operational alignment.
- Reporting: Generate detailed monthly and quarterly buying forecast reports for senior management review.
Core Competencies & Requirements
Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years in multi-brand retailing, with a strong preference for the footwear industry.Qualification : Diploma/Degree holder in fashion/retail.
Leadership: At least 5 years of experience heading a group of brands or a major international brand.
Strategic Expertise: Advanced exposure to merchandise planning, retail promotions, and visual merchandising (specifically for high-fashion sectors).
Business Acumen: Proven experience in buying and sales functions within large-scale retail environments.
Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in managing relationships with large international Principals.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Analytical Mindset: A "detailed person in numbers" with a track record of using data to drive growth and establish new brands in competitive markets.
