• Expected salary: $2,300 - $2,600 per month

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Butcher to prepare high-quality meats and services to our customers. He/she will need to perform quality inspections, use meat grinders, knives, saws, and other tools to cut meat down into smaller portions, weigh, price, and package cuts, and ensure that displays and signage are attractive and eye-catching.

You will also speak to customers to determine their needs, provide advice regarding proper cuts of meat and preparation methods, and coordinate pickups or deliveries.

You should be courteous, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. You should have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of meat quality, cuts, and preparation.

• Cutting, grinding, and preparing meats for sale
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive
• Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products
• Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
• Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
• Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments
• Coordinating deliveries or order pickups

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to use hand tools, stand or walk for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in cold environments
• Knowledge of meat (includes beef, pork, chicken, lamb, etc) preparation techniques and cuts for retail butchery
• Able to handle/familiar with machines such as meat slicer, grinder, bone-saw, band-saw, sausage stuffer
• Hardworking and able to accept feedback
• Any other adhoc duties as per assigned

OTHER INFO

Sausage making and roasting skills would be a huge plus!

5 day work week, 8 - 9 hours, 14 days annual leave

Willing to work on weekend/ OT when needed

Salary is based on experience and skills.
