About Dr Paws Vet Care
Dr Paws Vet Care is a small, close-knit first-opinion general practice veterinary clinic located near Siglap, Bedok, East Coast and Marine Parade.
We see dogs, cats and pocket pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and hamsters.
Our clinic is equipped with:
- IDEXX blood test machines
- Digital radiography
- Ultrasound
- Dental suite, including rabbit and rodent dentistry
- Surgical suite
- Acupuncture services
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys hands-on animal care, is willing to learn, and is comfortable working in a small team environment where teamwork, attention to detail and follow-through matter.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the veterinarian with consultations, treatments, procedures and surgeries
- Handle and restrain dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals safely and calmly
- Support diagnostic work, including blood tests, radiographs and basic laboratory work
- Prepare patients, equipment and materials for surgery and dental procedures
- Monitor patients before, during and after procedures
- Communicate professionally with clients and assist with basic enquiries
- Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative duties
- Keep the clinic, treatment areas, cages, equipment and instruments clean and organised
- Follow clinic protocols and instructions carefully
- Work closely with the veterinarian and nursing team to ensure good patient care
- Preferably at least 1 year of relevant working experience in a veterinary clinic or animal-related industry
- Candidates with no prior veterinary clinic experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they have a strong interest in animal care and are willing to learn
- Comfortable handling animals and performing cleaning / clinic maintenance duties
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions carefully
- Good communication skills with clients and team members
- Compassionate, patient and professional toward animals and their owners
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Singaporeans or Permanent Residents only
- Hands-on exposure to small animal and pocket pet cases
