WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:
Process Development and Solution Design- Review and refine consulting and solution development processes to ensure all stages of the workflow are effectively addressed across opportunities.
- Review RFP and tender documentation to understand customer requirements and project scope.
- Evaluate existing customer operations to identify current challenges and future needs.
- Analyse customer data to establish design parameters and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop solution documentation and design requirements to support solution development.
- Identify and evaluate suitable solution concepts, including modelling and comparison of alternatives.
- Review deliverables from Consulting and Design Estimation teams to ensure sound conclusions and technically robust, cost‑effective solutions.
- Identify process or capability gaps and implement improvements to enhance workflows and team effectiveness.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to guide customers through the solution development process and strengthen customer relationships.
- Support bid management activities and coordinate proposal preparation with Sales and Solution Development teams.
- Assist with the preparation of sales proposals, tender submissions, and technical presentations.
- Participate in customer presentations and provide technical expertise to support solution discussions.
- Ensure Consulting team members have the necessary training, tools, and guidance to deliver work to high standards.
- Identify capability gaps and support training initiatives for the Design and Estimation teams.
- Coordinate task allocation and manage workloads to ensure timely and high‑quality deliverables.
- Support team members in prioritising work and delivering solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Lead concept development activities and continuously improve design approaches to leverage technological advancements.
- Oversee the use of simulation tools to validate system performance and evaluate design scenarios.
- Contribute to the development of standardized solutions for the Asia region.
- Support smooth handover of new projects from Sales to Operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in system design to leverage emerging technologies.
- Ensure solution concepts remain competitive while maintaining technical integrity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ISO procedures and internal standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Logistics, Automation, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in intralogistics, material handling systems, or automation solutions.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret operational data.
- Proven problem‑solving ability with a logical and creative approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, including customer representatives up to senior management level.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in concept development and strong understanding of equipment capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting a consultative sales process for complex technical solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
