About the role
Reporting into the Procurement Director, this full-time Procurement Manager role is responsible for overseeing the procurement operations for Ingersoll-Rand' in the West Region. You will be a key member of the Procurement team, driving strategic sourcing initiatives that support the company's growth and operational efficiency objectives.
What you'll be doing- Lead the procurement of materials, goods and services for the West Region, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise supplier relationships, negotiate favourable contract terms and mitigate supply chain risks
- Monitor and analyse procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement activities
- Oversee the work of the procurement team, providing guidance, coaching and performance management
- Ensure procurement policies, procedures and controls are adhered to
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices to drive continuous improvement
- 8+ years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industries
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills to drive cost optimisation and process improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners
- Proficient in the use of procurement software and data analysis tools
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
- Familiarity with procurement best practices, regulations and industry standards
