Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Vice President, Regional DC Design & Construction, you will report to the Global Head of Design and Construction. You will oversee DC projects in the SEA and NEA regions and will also deputise for the Global Head of Design and Construction as required.Collaborating closely with internal project teams, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors, you will be responsible for delivering a program of SEA and NEA projects that meet the highest EHS standards, are completed on schedule, stay within budget, and achieve the required quality and performance benchmarks.
- Manage a program of projects across the Asia Pacific region, in accordance with board approved HSE standards, scope, performance, budget and scheduling requirements.
- Lead and integrate an Owner's team consisting of Project Management, Engineering, Commissioning, and Services (Commercial, Cost, and Schedule) professionals at both the regional and country levels.
- Collaborate with internal project stakeholders and various departments to achieve the assigned delivery objectives, including HSE, ESG, Procurement, Finance, Investment, Sales, Operations, and etc.
- Champion innovation and performance improvement across projects and personnel, ensuring business stays ahead of competitors.
- Advocate for value engineering, constructability, and other project reviews
- Ensure smooth program/project delivery by proactively identifying and mitigating of risks.
- Chair weekly country project cadence reviews and monthly program cadence reviews, ensuring critical actions are managed and resolved promptly.
- Communicate and report internally on program/project status, including weekly and monthly project dashboards
- Support Group Governance requirements across program/projects
- Support the development and training needs of the regional and local Design & Construction teams
- Represent business in the utmost professional manner while constantly embracing honesty, integrity and transparency
- Any other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Project, including over 10 years specific in Data Center and other related Mission Critical (24x7) environment projects, particularly large-scale projects.
- Vice President level experience with demonstrated expertise in managing Data Centre programs (multiple projects) across Asia Pacific region.
- Data Center certifications preferred
- Proven experience in managing teams responsible for multiple simultaneous projects, with active participation at all project levels, including engagement with Company Executives.
- Demonstrated expertise in project delivery with an annual project expenditure totaling at least US$500 million.
- Experienced in full-lifecycle Project Management from design and feasibility through to close-out and DLP
- Strong capability in planning, organizing, and managing an international team comprised of multi-disciplinary resources, with significant experience in key countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Digital Project Management Tools and Practices
- Ability to travel as required across assigned countries to perform key project reviews and ensure compliance of all projects to company requirements
