AS400 RPG Software Developer (Bank Sector Client - Silverlake Deposits) - Toa Payoh

We are seeking a skilled IT Developer with hands-on experience or strong interest in the Silverlake Integrated Core Banking System (SIBS), specifically in the Deposits module. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing core banking applications used by our client’s retail and corporate banking divisions.

You will work closely with business analysts, product managers, and infrastructure teams to implement changes, fix production issues, and support project rollouts related to deposit products and account services.

• Perform root cause analysis on application defects and provide solution for remediation.
• Develop programs, support end-to-end testing in SIT, support UAT and prepare for deployment to Production environments
• Provide Technical expertise and recommendations in assessing L3 issues and initiatives to support and enhance core banking suite applications
• Provide assistance and advice/support to SIT/UAT users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
• Work with SIT/UAT users to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, and levels of system access
• Prioritize defects and plan for production release based on defect criticality for implementation within the stipulated implementation window for release
• Ensure that the defect implementation and closure is completed before due date in order to meet defect closure KPI
• Define and document technical specification and documentation for the applications including EOD runbook, user guide, etc.
• Provide detailed universally understood processes/steps/requirements for use in development.
• Assist in the creation of impact assessment documents of the new incidents/problem ticket created.
• Ensure appropriate standards and procedures are adhered to during the development process to support quality deliverables.
• Anticipate, analyze, address and resolve any functional or non‐functional issues or risks either independently or together with the relevant stakeholders and propose alternative solutions as necessary.
• To provide sharing of production defect support learning with Core Banking development team for Quality improvements initiatives

• >5 years experience in programming/software development: Develop and maintain core banking functionalities related to deposits, current/savings accounts (CASA), term deposits, fixed deposits, interest calculation, maturity rollovers, and fee processing. Familiarity with deposit product processing, interest accrual/posting, account maintenance, and general ledger integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experienced and have good understanding in Silverlake Core Banking (Deposits) Products
• Knowledge in SIBS will be an added advantage.
• Incident Management / Problem Management / Capacity and performance management
• Development experience in AS400 platform & RPG, COBOL400, SQL and Query400.

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
