Manager, Business Development (Japanese A1 Main Contractor)

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation, compilation and cooperation of all documentation (Tender/PQ requirements, Contract Award, Extension of Time (EOT) requests, Form of Tender, general support, etc);
• Responsible for timely updating and maintenance of latest information for Project List (Potential, Tender, Completed Projects and etc.);
• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction;
• Manage relationship with existing and potential clients to develop new opportunities and advance organization’s business interests;
• Conduct the necessary market analysis to identify potential working partners for targeted projects;
• Communicate with the potential clients, consulting firms etc. to collect information of the targeted projects;
• Communicate with local agencies, government related firms etc. to maintain good relationships and react their request;
• Prepare the meeting minutes to report the result of discussions between existing clients, potential clients, consultants and local agencies etc.;
• Resourceful and possess good market intelligence on potential upcoming projects;
• Conversant with local authorities’ requirements and engineering standards;
• Good working knowledge of general construction, especially in large and heavy civil engineering project;
• To support and handle any ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned by HOD;
• Support Business Development activities not only for Singapore projects, but also projects in Asia Region;
• Any ad-hoc duties or tasks as assigned by superior or management.

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum degree in Business Management / Marketing or related field;
• Minimum 15 years or relevant experience in Construction and/or Engineering industry preferably;
• Effectively bilingual to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates/clients;
• Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently;
• Able to work under pressure and complete tasks within set deadlines;
• Business travelling will be required for this role;
• Experience of Business Development activities in several Asian countries.
